By providing highly effective and simple solutions we’ve saved the Chicago Public School system thousands of dollars on repairs. Chicago Public Schools does an absolutely wonderful service to all of our city’s students by providing each and everyone one of them with free access to laptops and computer equipment. In December 2021 alone CPS purchased an additional 100,000 laptops for their students. As a result, each school must manage thousands of laptops which at some point will require service. Computer Prodigies works with individual schools to provide the best value in between efficiency, turn over time, price point, and eco-friendliness. We offer board level repair and offer schools the option to repair devices using their own recycled laptop components. These two abilities combined saves the school thousands of dollars, prevents e-waste, and helps the schools clear cost-inefficient repairs from their device fleets. By recovering valuable components from defunct school equipment we can cut the cost of repairs by as much of a third and save thousands of pounds of e-waste from contaminating the earth.
